The Indoor/Outdoor Panel is the main brains of every Videofied security system. It communicates with all wireless devices, processes alarm events, and securely sends video verification to the monitoring center when an alarm occurs. Designed for indoor or outdoor installation, it's completely battery powered and built for locations where reliable security is needed without requiring AC power. 

The Panel serves as the central controller for every Videofied system. It's commonly installed on construction sites, temporary facilities, equipment yards, and other locations where power may not be available. Because it's battery operated, the panel can be installed almost anywhere while maintaining communication with the system's wireless devices.

In real-world construction environments, I typically see battery life of approximately 9–15 months, depending on system activity and environmental conditions. When the panel batteries become depleted, the system will eventually stop sending its scheduled supervision (timer test) signals. The monitoring center receives that notification and contacts the appropriate people so the batteries can be replaced.
