The Indoor Siren provides an audible alarm when your security system is triggered. It helps notify occupants that an alarm has occurred while also drawing attention to the protected area. In addition to alarm events, it can also provide helpful audible indications during everyday system use. 

Indoor Sirens are typically installed inside homes and businesses to provide an audible alarm during security events. They can also provide entry and exit delay tones, confirm when the system is armed or disarmed, and notify you when someone enters through a protected door using the optional Chime feature.

I typically recommend an Indoor Siren because it's a proven deterrent and provides an immediate audible alert when an alarm occurs.

For construction sites and some commercial applications, however, there are times when I recommend not using a siren. Some customers prefer not to alert an intruder immediately, allowing law enforcement or security personnel the opportunity to respond without the person realizing they've been detected. Local noise ordinances may also influence that decision.
